The 2023 QI Summit, Tackling Telehealth: Improving Quality and Access by Integrating Virtual Care in Urology, aims to provide attendees with tools, evidence, and guidance to safely and effectively integrate or expand telehealth into their practice, with the ultimate goal of improving access and quality of care for all urologic patients. This conference intends to deliver high-yield, practical advice for urologic care providers who wish to better integrate telehealth into their practices in an equitable, efficient, and effective manner.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Review the national policy and medicolegal landscape that defines the current practice of telehealth.
  2. Summarize best practices on how to implement telehealth into different types of urologic practice including how to address potential financial, policy, cultural and technological challenges.
  3. Describe the value of telehealth beyond the traditional provider-patient clinic encounter, such as within group, inpatient, and academic settings.
  4. Discuss how critical national urologic access and equity needs can be advanced through telehealth initiatives.
  5. Develop a policy, education, and dissemination agenda that advances high quality urologic implementation of telehealth nationally.
