    Learning Objectives

    Day One: Coding & Reimbursement

    At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will:

    1. List the common denials and how to best prevent them.
    2. Accurately identify appropriate modifiers required for urology coding scenarios.
    3. Recognize the importance of proper coding to improve accuracy and receive precise reimbursement.
    4. Identify correct coding and billing for Advanced Practice Providers to receive proper reimbursement.
    5. Recognize the wide range of  information that can be gained from different types of audits.

    Day Two: Practice Management

    At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will:

    1. Identify ways hackers are targeting remote employees and the new threats connected to home networks.
    2. Recognize how cybercriminals think and how data security measures are not sufficiently robust to prevent successful cyberattacks.
    3. Discuss the way hacktivists (hackers fighting for social and political issues) are adding to cybersecurity threats.
    4. Recognize the six key questions to address when considering an ambulatory surgery center.
    5. Review techniques of dealing with difficult patients to improve clinical and patient satisfaction outcomes.
    6. Uncover innovative strategies and insights on how to stand out in a competitive market and become the urologist of choice.

    AUA ACCREDITATION INFORMATION

    ACCREDITATION:

    The American Urological Association (AUA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    CREDIT DESIGNATION:

    The American Urological Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 13 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    OTHER LEARNERS:

    The AUA is not accredited to offer credit to participants who are not MDs or DOs. However, the AUA will issue documentation of participation that states that the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

    EVIDENCE BASED CONTENT:

    It is the policy of the AUA to ensure that the content contained in this CME activity is valid, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous, and free of commercial bias.

    Cancellation Policy

    Live Course: An administrative fee of 15% is assessed if registration is cancelled up to six weeks prior to the course. If registration is cancelled four to six weeks from the course, the cancellation fee is 50% of the registration fee paid. No registration fees will be refunded less than four weeks prior to the course. 

    Webcast: Cancellations must be made no later than one week prior to the live course. Subscription fees will not be refunded after the cancellation period. Purchases after the live course date are not eligible for a refund. 

    Registration Transfer: Customers switching from an option of lesser value to a higher value will be required to pay the difference in cost between the two options. Switching to an option of lesser value from a higher value must be made no later than to six weeks prior to the course and will be subject to an administrative fee of 15% of the cost of the course from which they are transferring. Transfer of registration from a higher value option to an option of lesser value past six weeks prior to the course will not receive a refund.
