Riccardo Autorino, MD,PhD
Dr. Autorino is a Professor of Urology and Director of Surgical Innovation & Clinical Research in the Department of Urology at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL. After graduating cum laude at Federico II Medical School in Napoli (Italy), Dr. Autorino completed his Residency training in the same city, where he also obtained a PhD degree in Urological Sciences. In 2010, he moved to the USA where he completed a 2-year Research Fellowship in Urology, and then a 2-year Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy & Robotic Surgery at the Glickman Institute, Cleveland Clinic. He is active member of the EAU, AUA, SIU, and the Endourological Society. He was awarded with the 2012 Italian Matula Award by the Italian Society of Urology. In 2017, he was recipient of the Hans Marberger Award at the annual EAU meeting. Dr. Autorino serves as reviewer for numerous Journals, and has received several awards for these services. He also serves as editorial board member of European Urology, European Urology Focus, World Journal of Urology, Prostatic Cancer Prostatic Disease, and International Brazilian Journal of Urology. He is the Associate Editor for Minerva Urology & Nephrology, Urology Video Journal and Central European Journal of Urology. He co-authored over 500 PubMed-indexed publications, and several book chapters. His current Scopus h-index is 60.
