Priya Padmanabhan, MD,MPH,FACS
Dr. Priya Padmanabhan is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Born in Michigan and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Padmanabhan earned her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College and returned home to complete a Masters of Public Health at The University of Michigan School of Public Health. She then completed medical school and her urology residency at New York University Medical Center in New York, NY. In addition, Dr. Padmanabhan completed an accredited ABOG/ABU fellowship in female urology and pelvic reconstruction surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Dr. Padmanabhan has published numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters and given multiple presentations at both national and international meetings in the area of female voiding dysfunction and reconstruction. She is a candidate member in the American Urological Association (AUA), International Continence Society (ICS) and Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology (SUFU). Dr. Padmanabhan specializes in the treatment of incontinence and pelvic reconstruction including urge and stress incontinence, neurogenic urinary dysfunction, prolapse, diverticula, fistulae and urethral stricture. Her current research interests are outcomes of incontinence and neurogenic bladder management with a particular focus on quality of life issues.
