Jill Buckley, MD,FACS
Dr. Jill Buckley is a Professor at UC San Diego Health, specializing in Urologic Reconstructive Surgery, Robotic Surgery and Cancer Survorship. Prior to joining UCSD in 2013, she was an Assistant Professor at Tufts School of Medicine and faculty at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center from 2007-2013. Dr. Buckley graduated from UCLA and also earned her medical degree from UCLA. She completed her urology residency at UC San Francisco, followed by a fellowship in Reconstruction and Trauma Surgery at UC San Francisco under the mentorship of Dr. Jack McAninch. Dr. Buckley is board certified in urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She is an active member of the American Urological Association (AUA) and a prior board member of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS). Dr. Buckley is an expert in complicated urinary disorders including urethral stricture, fistulas, ureteral injuries and reconstruction, urologic trauma and complications following prostate cancer treatment. She has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles, book chapters and editorials. She was appointed as the Director of the UC San Diego Urology Residency program in November 2014. She is the fellowship program director of the reconstructive urology (GURS) fellowship at UCSD.
