Daniel Dugi, MD FACS. Professor, Department of Urology; Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, Oregon. Co-founder, OHSU Transgender Health Program. Dr Daniel Dugi grew up and completed his education in Texas, attending Rice University as an undergraduate and Baylor College of Medicine for medical school. He completed his residency in urology at the University of Texas Southwester in Dallas. He completed a fellowship in urologic trauma, reconstruction, and prosthetics with Dr Allen Morey at UT Southwestern in 2009. Dr Dugi joined the faculty at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon in 2009 and focuses on genital reconstructive surgery. In 2012, he co-founded OHSU's Transgender Health Program, now one of the most comprehensive and highest-volume gender centers in the United States. His practice is dedicated to gender-affirming surgery and complex genital reconstruction. He performs gender-affirming vaginoplasty, metoidioplasty, and works in conjunction with his plastic surgeon colleagues to offer phalloplasty care, as well as care for complications of surgeries performed elsewhere. He is a former board member of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS). He was a member of the AUA Urotrauma Guidelines panel from 2011-2014 and the Urotrauma Update panel in 2016-2017. He is a member of the AUA Urologic Video Education Committee, 2015-2019.
