Practical PCNL: From Access to Exit- A Hands-on Course - New York (2019)

This is a hands-on, intensive course in PCNL. It is perfect for the practicing Urologist who wants to gain comfort with performing percutaneous stone removal, obtaining his/her own percutaneous access using both fluoroscopy and ultrasound, and utilizing current instrumentation including flexible ureteroscopy. The course will include didactic lectures, multiple different simulators, and live patient experience with ultrasound imaging.

Learning Objectives
After attending this course, participants will be able to:
- Obtain percutaneous access to the kidney using both fluoroscopy and sonography.
- Review instrumentation integral to optimizing PCNL success (including tract dilation, graspers, baskets, flexible nephroscopy).
- Demonstrate the optimal methods for post-operative drainage and management of the percutaneous tract.
- Recognize and manage complications of PCNL.
- Perform and review ultrasound imaging.
- Apply knowledge gained in this course to develop a practice which is comfortable in offering PCNL to its patients as an integral surgical procedure in the treatment of stone disease.
- Gain familiarity with flexible ureteroscopy and instrumentation, and learn how to utilize it in combination with PCNL to enhance access and stone treatment success.

Registration: Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning in the Smith Institute for Urology Centre Street Hallway. All attendees must check-in at registration to receive their name badge and course syllabus. The didactic portion of the course will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m |

Cancellation Policy
An administration fee of 15% is assessed if registration is cancelled up to six weeks prior to the course. If registration is cancelled four to six weeks from the course, the cancellation fee of 50% of the registration fee will be paid. No registration fees will be refunded less than four weeks prior to the course.
AUA Education & Research reserves the right to cancel this course if a minimum enrollment is not reached before August 30, 2019. If AUA Education & Research cancels this course, registration fees will be refunded in full and notification will be sent by September 6, 2019.
