The purpose of the Life Long Learning Prep Course: A Focused Review is to prepare attendees for the ABU knowledge assessment. This course will be practice-focused and will offer practical and clinically-specific updates. It will highlight the AUA guidelines and address general urology practice issues that can be expected on the knowledge assessment. The course will model the structure of the ABU exam by covering Core/General Urology on the first day followed by Module 1: Oncology, Urinary Diversion and Adrenal on the second day.

Sample multiple choice practice questions as well as case-based discussions and debates will be utilized to prepare attendees for the upcoming knowledge assessment. For more information on ABU Recertification, please visit www.abu.org/recertification.

Core Urology

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Review generally accepted urological practices for superior patient care.
  2. Discuss a core knowledge of urology necessary for taking the Knowledge Assessment.
  3. Examine the most recent changes and additions to the AUA guidelines.

Module 1: Oncology & Urinary Diversion

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss the appropriate indications for and use diagnostic tests in the management of urologic cancers.
  2. Enhance ability to make guideline-based decisions regarding management of common urologic cancers.
  3. Recognize and execute appropriate measures to prevent and manage complications resulting for management intervention for urologic cancers.
  4. Develop and employ a disease stage appropriate surveillance schedule during post management follow-up of urologic cancers.

CANCELLATION POLICY


Live Course

An administrative fee of 15% is assessed if registration is cancelled up to six weeks prior to the course. If registration is cancelled four to six weeks from the course, the cancellation fee is 50% of the registration fee paid. No registration fees will be refunded less than four weeks prior to the course.

Webcast

Cancellations must be made no later than one week prior to the live course. Subscription fees will not be refunded after the cancellation period. Purchases after the live course date are not eligible for a refund.

Registration Transfer

Customers switching from an option of lesser value to a higher value will be required to pay the difference in cost between the two options. Switching to an option of lesser value from a higher value must be made no later than to six weeks prior to the course and will be subject to an administrative fee of 15% of the cost of the course from which they are transferring. Transfer of registration from a higher value option to an option of lesser value past six weeks prior to the course will not receive a refund.
