Emerging Treatment Options for Non-Metastatic CRPC Podcast (2018)

To encourage consistent, high quality, evidence-based treatment of patients with Non-Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer (nmCRPC), the AUA and Urology Care Foundation has produced a series of online activities and educational resources for healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers. One of those such activities is this complimentary Emerging Treatment Options for Non-Metastatic CRPC Podcast (2018).

To aid urologists in the management of nmCRPC, this podcast will focus specifically on active agents and their mechanism of action. Special emphasis will be placed on enhanced communication with patients in regards to treatment options.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the active agents and their mechanism of action in the management of nmCRPC.
  2. Analyze the evidence and outcomes on the treatment of CRPC as outlined in the AUA guidelines and subsequent amendments.
  3. Improve diagnostic and therapeutic decision making processes by illustrating the application of these guidelines in urological practice.
  4. Facilitate discussions with patients and caregivers regarding nmCRPC treatment options.
